November Highlights: Honoring Service, Remembering Those Who've Passed, and Strengthening Support for Women Veterans

As we enter Military Family Month, Lady Veterans Connect reflects on the courage, resilience, and sisterhood within our veteran community. This month brings moments of remembrance, celebration, and powerful community partnership — all centered on supporting women who have served.

Remembering USAF Veteran Shirley Hampton

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Shirley Hampton, a beloved former resident whose kindness and strength were felt by all who knew her. After years of homelessness, Shirley recently achieved independent living in Winchester — a milestone she was incredibly proud of.

She will be laid to rest at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. LVC is helping cover her remaining burial expenses, and community support is deeply appreciated.

💙 Help Honor Shirley’s Memory

If you would like to contribute to Shirley’s final arrangements, donations may be made through the Donate button on the LVC website.Your kindness ensures she receives the dignity and honor she deserves.
